Business Roundtable Supports the Bipartisan BUILD America 250 Act

Washington - Business Roundtable President & COO Kristen Silverberg issued the following statement ahead of the markup of H.R. 8870, the Building Unrivaled Infrastructure and Long-term Development for America’s 250th (BUILD America 250) Act:

“Business Roundtable supports the bipartisan BUILD America 250 Act. We applaud Chairman Graves, Ranking Member Larsen, and members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for developing a strong surface transportation reauthorization bill.

“Modern, reliable infrastructure is essential to a dynamic economy. The BUILD America 250 Act would provide necessary federal investment to enable states, local governments and private-sector partners to improve the infrastructure systems that carry the American economy. The bill also takes important steps toward reforming the cumbersome federal permitting system, which would help accelerate project delivery.
